There are many ways to interpret the land. Davide Spillare has chosen to interpret it responsibly: the land is on loan to us, it is not ours and we are duty-bound to respect it.
Care, sacrifice and knowledge are the tools we have at our disposal to preserve the land and, when possible, improve it. This is a duty for us who live on it today and for those who will live on it in the future.
With the deepest respect_
Until recently, the damage caused by chemical fertilizers was not understood. Out of ignorance, the land was made
to suffer; many soils were destroyed and, unfortunately, this process continues to the present day.
But change is possible: it takes at least fifteen years to restore a damaged piece of land, to heal it and cultivate with vines that can produce great wine.
Davide believes this and, after breathing new life into
his land, he now works it with respect and responsibility, confident in the future.
For a future_
Behind the choices, there is often a lesson to be learned. Working the land responsibly—with consideration to those who come after—means respecting the rule that says we must return intact or improved that which is on loan to us. It is with this principle in mind that the winery cultivates the land on which good grapes grow, which, in turn, produce wines with character that capture the essence of the territory.

This is why we must treat it with the same respect we give to any item lent to us by someone.
I prefer to make less but to do it right: no weedkillers, no chemical fertilizers; “Natural” farming.
